Serango Christian Hospital - Eye Services

Serango, a part of Parlakhemundi in district Ganjam, Orissa, borders the northern tip of Andhara Pradesh. It is an old mission hospital where an eye unit was constructed by CBM with co-funding from Round Table Germany (RTD). The project is managed by Council of Christian Hospitals (COCH) located at Vishakapatnam. 
CBM supports comprehensive community eye care services though the eye department which is located a short distance away from the main hospital. The project serves the hilly and largely tribal areas and poor population (approx 2.5 million) of the plains below.
