About the Directory

Accessibility is a key for empowering people with disabilities and Assistive Devices and Technology play a vital role in fulfilling day-to-day needs. Finding appropriate aids and sourcing them is quite a challenge.

Through ‘The Directory on Assistive Devices and Technology’, CBM has attempted to list products and assistive technologies available in India. This was developed in association with Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.

The directory provides information about 687 products and contact details of 92 manufacturers and suppliers. The products are broadly categorised based on types of disabilities.

CBM will continue to update the directory to make it comprehensive and relevant in the coming years. More devices and suppliers will be added in the future editions.
